Candice will send you forms to complete once your appointment is booked. It's also helpful to arrive a few minutes early for your initial session, as it will allow you to familiarise yourself with your surroundings and feel settled.
It is entirely normal to feel anxious about your first therapy session. Many people who have never participated in a therapy session wonder what to expect, and you may have many questions.
The first session is usually about introductions, a thorough explanation of therapy and an explanation of consent, confidentiality and the limits to this. Towards the end of the session, you will have a general sense of the compatibility with Candice and goals, and the way forward will then be discussed.
