FAQs

How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment with me via the website, email or my contact number.

What can I expect in my first session?

I will send you forms to complete once your appointment is booked. It may also be helpful to arrive a few minutes early for your initial session as it will allow you an opportunity to familiarise yourself with your surroundings and feel settled.

It is completely normal to feel anxious about your first therapy session. Many people who have never participated in a therapy session wonder what to expect and you may have many questions. The first session is usually about introductions, a thorough explanation of therapy as well as an explanation of consent, confidentiality and the limits to this. Towards the end of the session you will have a general sense of the compatibility with the therapist and goals and the way forward will then be discussed.

Is therapy for me?

Absolutely. Psychotherapy is not only limited to moments of crisis and like your health your mental well-being is of equal importance. If you're thinking about therapy then that's usually a good indication to start the journey.
