Candice Britz

Counselling Psychologist

Candice's journey to becoming a Counselling Psychologist was inspired by her childhood, where she witnessed two different sides of mental health care. In one instance, she found quality mental health services readily available, whereas the other scarcely had knowledge about mental health well-being.

The disparity between these two situations led Candice to study and receive her BA degree, majoring in Psychology and Communication. She later completed her Honours degree in Psychology and spent the next few years working with children and teens in special care needs and developmental environments. During this time, she obtained her Board Certified Autism Technician qualification and worked predominantly with children experiencing neuro-development delays. Being part of their journey towards recovery was extremely fulfilling for Candice.

Following this experience, Candice wanted to re-ignite her plan to make psychological services easily accessible to communities in need. This led her to complete her Master's in Counselling Psychology at the University of Johannesburg. Candice received her practical experience through renowned institutions, including Psycad, Headway, Helen Joseph Hospital and Ububele. Throughout this time, she worked with various individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Now offering a range of psychological services from her private practice in Sandton, Candice takes an individual and holistic approach with each client she meets. She believes in working with each person to understand their needs and concerns and using various modalities that cater to them.
